The 31-year old Singaporean man wanted by the Australian police for an alleged attempted murder of a 20-year old Hong Kong woman has surrendered himself to the police in Brisbane.

The man apparently returned to the scene of the crime and gave himself up.

The victim who was bashed with a hammer and stabbed repeatedly is recovering in a stable condition, Australian 7 News channel reported.

The incident took place at about 9.30pm on Monday (May 8) and left the victim with a fractured skull. The woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with “what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries”, according to the Australian media.
