He has just filed an application challenging the deportation order of an Indian worker, Rajendran Ranjan, on the grounds that the worker had not been given adequate opportunity to exercise his rights under Section 33(2) of the Immigration Act.
The application also wants to challenge the administrative power of the government to exclude the court’s jurisdiction when deciding on such matters.
Ranjan was one of those acquitted after being charged over the riot.
