Malaysia ― Malaysian singer Gin Lee recently admitted that she was extremely elated to receive recognition from the Sultan of Johor for her achievements overseas.

Mingpao reported that the Johor Bahru-born singer, who attended a skincare event recently, said that she was surprised upon being named by the supreme ruler of the state of Johor ten years after she came to Hong Kong to pursue her dreams.

“I never thought that one day I will be praised by the Royal Family back home and that he listens to my songs,” she enthused.

Lee was asked by the publication if she will be returning to her home country soon, and to that, she said she has tried her best to attend as many events as she can in her hometown. However, the pandemic has made it difficult for her to do so.
