A man has come forward saying he was in bed with a male Malaysian federal minister and named the minister in a dramatic confession published by Malaysia Kini this morning.

The individual, one Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz claimed that the other person in the clip was the minister. He said the video was taken without his permission on May 11 during the Sabah by-election in the minister’s room at the Four Point Hotel.

The startling confession came hours after a series of videos showing a man resembling a cabinet minister was sent to journalists.

A smear campaign alleging huge money transfers circulated yesterday against the minister, a member of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat, the party of Anwar Ibrahim Malaysia’s Prime Minister to be.

The video shows sexual acts with both men naked in bed but the blurry and grainy scenes make it difficult to deduce if it is the minister or a look alike.

However, the confession is a game changer and Malaysia is waiting for a response from the federal minister whose name came up in rumours of a break-up of the PKR and a challenge to Anwar’s Prime Ministership bid.

The man in the video urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate the senior PKR leader for alleged corruption and claimed that the latter was unfit to be a leader.

The video confession was posted on his Facebook page this morning.

In the confession, the man says, “I, Haziq Haziz… made a sworn confession that I am the individual with… [the minister’s name is mentioned] in the video which went viral yesterday.

“I urge MACC to investigate [the minister] for corruption. He is not an individual who is qualified to be a leader,” he said.

Muhammad Haziq, 27, is the senior private secretary to Primary Industries Deputy Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.
