A woman took to social media asking netizens for advice after her parents started fighting during the family holiday. In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the woman wrote that her father was “driving everyone crazy”.

“Currently my mother just had a melt down after my father went crazy in the hotel over something minor. Sister and I are caught in between because the issue could only be solved by themselves as it’s between them and their friends”, the woman wrote. She added that her father gave all the troublesome tasks to her mother, who had enough after more than 20 years with him.

Because her father was unhappy with a friend of his and his wife’s he “blew up and started his crazy rampage. Throw things, mess up the luggage and refuse to get out of the hotel. As long as no outsider there to see, he act up! Imagine a 60 year old doing that!”. The woman added that during their 5-day trip, her father threw a huge tantrum. He even asked for his passport, which he almost tore up.

In her post, the woman wrote that her father had pretty much been like that all the time, just that he never acted this badly during trips. “This is the first and worst and probably last family trip! I felt I wasted all my money for the trip, we missed a few places of interest just to give in to his tantrums!” the woman wrote. She added that there were two more days of the trip to go, with them all stuck in a hotel room together. She also wrote that she had better cancel the Venice trip they planned for next year.

“5 days already like this torturous! I pity my mum, she can’t go Venice till he dies coz nobody is willing to go with him!” the woman wrote about her father.

Netizens who commented on the post told the woman to support her mother and ignore her father.
