Singapore — Health Minister Ong Ye Kung announced that a new Covid-19 treatment facility (CTF) began operations on Monday (Feb 14) to help hospitals care for the most vulnerable in the community amid a spike in cases due to the Omicron wave.
The new CTF is located at the Singapore Expo’s Hall 9 equipped with about 600 beds for children and their caregivers, and 224 beds for the elderly, said Mr Ong in a Facebook post on Monday.

‘All the blame should be squarely’ on Raeesah Khan
Singapore — Many netizens have weighed in on the findings in the report from the Committee of Privileges on its investigation into former Workers’ Party MP Raeesah Khan, who admitted having lied in Parliament several times last year.
The committee concluded that the WP leaders had lied in relation to the complaint against Ms Khan. It found that she had acted under the direction of Mr Singh, party chair Sylvia Lim and Mr Faisal Manap.
Netizens create Facebook group called ‘Underweight Unfair Price’
Singapore — A group of netizens has come together and started a Facebook group called ‘UNDERWEIGHT UNFAIR PRICE (U2P)‘ on Friday (Feb 11).
At the time of writing, the public group had 206 members. In the group, one of the admins wrote: “NTUC was set up to purchase essential items in bulks so that we Singapore citizens can buy necessities at reasonable price. Little can we imagine we are taken advantage of nowadays”.
