President Donald Trump chose capital letters to convey his his fury at what Iranian President. The Iranian President Rouhani on Sunday, addressing a meeting attended by Iran’s representatives in foreign countries, said: ‘Iranian people are the master and they will never bow to anyone. He added, “America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”

President Trump warned Iran it risked consequences “the like of which few throughout history have suffered before” if the Islamic Republic made more threats against the United States.

In his message directed at Rouhani, Trump wrote: “Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence & death. Be cautious!”.

Rouhani’s “mother of all wars” comment was made after US secretary of state Mike Pompeo told Iranian-Americans at an address in California that the US stood with Iranians currently protesting against their country’s ruling elite, which he called a “mafia” that was “heartlessly repressing its own people’s human rights, dignity and fundamental freedoms”.

Relations between Tehran and Washington DC have reached new lows since May, when Mr Trump fulfilled an election campaign promise to pull out of the 2016 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.

A senior commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards has reacted to Trump’s threats by saying Tehran would continue to resist its enemies. “We will never abandon our revolutionary beliefs…we will resist pressure from enemies…America wants nothing less than (to) destroy Iran … (but) Trump cannot do a damn thing against Iran,” Brigadier General Gholamhossein Gheybparvar said.
