Although rising prices and the high cost of living may be the scariest things to happen this year, there’s no time like Halloween to bring out the supernatural kind of scare.
Singapore has always been a place where ghost stories abound. A lot of people have an NS-related supernatural sighting, whether they like it or not. And let’s start a list of places that are said to be the haunting grounds of the otherworldly, including Caldecott Hill and Lim Chu Kang Road.
Are there shivers running down your spine yet?
If you’re in the mood to get even more scared, hop on over to r/Singapore, where a redditor asked scare actors, people who are paid to dress up in the creepiest ways possible to creep others users out, to share any real life stories where, in a bit of a turnaround, they’re the ones who witnessed the supernatural.
“Scare actors! Any scary experiences to share during your shift,” asked Reddit user xXxLostBunnyxXx.
“Just came across a video on TikTok of this guy sharing increased sightings of “things that should not be named” at several of our local attractions doing Halloween nights by scare actors and crew!
This got me curious – any scare actors or Halloween attractions crew with any stories to share?
(P.S: He shared the zoo’s halloween night got cancelled because of one too many sightings, and scare actors abandoning their posts because they got scared off by entities there. Is this true?)”
There’s one entity who apparently likes sitting on the roof of the tram.
In a longer comment, the Reddit user, who claims to have somewhat of a third eye, talked a little bit more about what he saw.
“What I saw was more than what I bargained for. I should also say that at this point in time the air turned very different. You’re no longer just relaxing in the park, you feel like there’s people around and the space feels narrower and enclosed. It’s hard to explain it but it feels like something is coming, a bit of unexplained anxiety.
And then that’s when I saw it – a shadow of a man hanging upside down underneath the boardwalk, at the very place I saw the red light. It was crawling out and twisting his body like a snake or lizard from underneath the boardwalk, to above the boardwalk, before fading into thin air.
Usually when I see an entity, I connect with them mentally and emotionally for that one instance. Most of the time they are just passing by and have no ill intent. But this, this one felt sinister and powerful. I felt the appearance of this being was bald and all dark except the contrast in the eyes which I can’t recall was white or red.
It’s no ordinary spirit of someone who passed. It felt like a whole different class of entity altogether. Djinn? Elemental? All I know is it felt like there’s an animalistic feel to it – after all normal spirits don’t climb on structures like Spider-Man…”
Happy Halloween! And if you want more scary stories, here are two, shared on the thread by Reddit user HyperAlpha_:
