Mobbed by the Media in Kuala Lumpur, Treasury secretary-general Irwan Serigar Abdullah shied away from answering a simple question on the 1MDB scandal.

Irwan, who is also the 1MDB chairperson refused to answer questions on reports that Swiss attorney-general Michael Lauber expressed confidence that the Swiss probe into 1MDB would bear fruit despite Malaysian authorities’ refusal to cooperate.

Declining to comment raises more questions on the moral aspect of the 1MDB case, said an observer to The Independent.

Irwan said” “That is out of my context,” before turning away from the reporters when he was asked the his opinion on the Swiss AG’s comment by Kinitv, protected by body guards.

The Swiss Attorney General lambasted Malaysia for refusing to cooperate on the 1MDB and saying in full confidence the matter will crack.
