Passersby at a train station in Delhi, India were shocked to find a two-year-old girl lying unconscious, naked and heavily bleeding beside railroad tracks as trains whizzed past her, just inches from her body.
According to the local press, the toddler was discovered to have been raped when she was rushed to the hospital. The girl had reportedly been gagged and abducted from her parents who were sleeping on the train platform just a few yards away from the child.
The child was brutally raped and left for dead by the train tracks. Passersby who stumbled upon the young girl quickly rushed her to the hospital where she received emergency treatment. The girl is presently in stable condition at a hospital in the city.
A 24-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of rape. Police investigations are ongoing.
