Hopefully Nathan Hartono is not just getting a year-long supply of Milo for his endorsement

Local singer Nathan Hartono has made it into the finals of reality singing competition Sing! China. The 25-year-old was the only mentee from judge Jay Chou’s team to qualify for the finals held at the Beijing National Stadium.

He qualified after his performance of Eagles’ tune Desperado and Angus Tung’s song Can’t Forget in the semi-finals episode which aired on Sep 30 on Zhejiang TV. Hartono received the highest score of the evening, with approvals from 47 out of 53 judges, and 333 votes from 350 audience members.

In an interview with ST soon after his win, Hartono said: “If I win, I will rent a fleet of Milo vans and treat everybody to Milo peng (iced Milo).”

Soon after ST published the interview, MILO Singapore linked the article in their Facebook and said: “Nathan, win or lose, MILO will support you all the way! No need to rent, also can. Just tell us where, we bring the van.”

In thanking Hartono for bringing pride to the Nation, the beverage company also asked its Facebook fans for suggestions on the location for the MILO van to be stationed.

It is unclear if Hartono has signed any brand ambassador’s contract with MILO Singapore. If he has, I certainly hope that he is not paid with just a year-long supply of MILO.

GO NATHAN HARTONO!
