Victoria Beckham’s bizarre favourite food

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham recently revealed a bizarre food she enjoys eating when she is having a break from clean eating, and it is something you would not expect.

For most of us, our cheat meal or comfort food would be chips, chocolate or cake but for her, she enjoys salt on toast.

The 47-year-old fashion designer opened up about her favourite bizarre food during an appearance on River Café’s Table 4 podcast where she told host Ruth Rogers: ‘This is where I sound even more boring in the food department.

‘I like whole grain toast with salt on it. It’s that carby thing, isn’t it? It’s that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted and I love salt. I’m a savoury person as opposed to a sweet person.’

Beckham added: ‘I’m a very fussy eater and I like things to be cooked in a very simple way. I don’t like oils or butter or sauces.’

She goes on to say that she likes her food to be ‘very simple, very clean and incredibly fresh’ and does not eat any dairy at all. Beckham has not had any red meat since she was seven years old, reported Metro.co.uk.

The singer and fashion designer joked: ‘To most restaurants I’m probably their worst nightmare. I love some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself.’

Since she was a child, Beckham has been a vegetarian after seeing how meat products are made. However, she says that her children and husband David Beckham do eat meat at home.

She added: ‘Even Gordon Ramsay, a very good friend of ours, says he’s never seen anybody as disciplined about the way that they eat.

‘I’m not the most exciting eater but I do like to have a drink with my dinner and I can become a very good dinner guest.’

As long as there’s bread and salt, it sounds like she’s pretty easy to cater for, too. /TISG
