Two killed and five injured after collision with van in BKE

Facebook user Alan Tang shared that a van collided with several motorbikes which had parked at a shelter to avoid the rain. He said that the bikers were all not moving after the collision.

Today newspaper reported that the incident happened this afternoon at about 3.50pm, under the Seletar Expressway (SLE) flyover along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Woodlands. Two men were killed and five others were injured after the van collided into several stationary motorcycles.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) pronounced two men dead at the scene, while five casualties were sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

According to Land Transport Authority (LTA) the accident caused a congestion on the BKE till the Mandai Road entrance. LTA advised motorists to avoid Lane 3 of the highway.
