Indian Foreign Minister Jayashankar in Europe at the onset of the war made it clear that Indo-Pacific and Trans Atlantic issues are not necessarily analogous. He reminded a questioner that Europe has not shown any interest in challenges taking place in the Indo-Pacific since 2009. He was obviously referring to China’s salami-slicing strategy.
WP’s Jamus Lim: Make public transport free for elderly and people with disabilities
Workers’ Party MP Jamus Lim (Sengkang GRC) shared a proposal in Parliament for making public transport free for the elderly and persons with disabilities in Singapore.
He argued that this would allow them to stay engaged and active, as well as encourage those who wish to keep on working to do so without having to spend part of their earnings on commuting.
SCDF rescues 3 unconscious people from Bedok fire, evacuates dozens
Personnel from Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a fire at Block 27 New Upper Changi Road in Bedok on Wednesday (Mar 9).
Like other fires in Singapore over the past few years, this one is likely to have been started by a personal mobility device which was being charged in the living room at the time of the fire, the SCDF said in a Facebook post.

Wild boar ploughs into woman in Yishun and causes onlookers to scatter
A wild boar, described by an eyewitness as “not small” and having “long tusks,” ran into a woman at Yishun on Wednesday (Mar 9).
The force of the collision knocked her out for about 15 minutes. It happened at around 6:40 in the evening at Block 846 Yishun Ring Road in Khatib Central.
