“Small Dreams, Big Possibilities”

The theme for Carouselland 2019 is “Small Dreams, Big Possibilities”, honouring the small dreams that make each day full of happiness and big possibilities.

This year’s convention is going to be massive in every way—loads of sellers, throngs of visitors, a plethora of activities and a whole lot of happiness.

Carousell announced that they are expecting a crowd of 40,000 visitors at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Halls A & B.

They’ve promised more than three hundred sellers of all kinds—crafts, fashion, technology, home and lifestyle, health and wellbeing, and even motorcycles and automobile sellers!

If you love exciting bazaars and markets, this will be a wonderland for you.

A dazzling array of wares will be on display at the three-day event, and there will be more than enough activities and workshops to take part in as well, so the weekend promises to be a fun, full one.

Carousell’s statement about what to expect at this year’s Carouselland convention should get you excited:

“Looking good, achieving work-life balance or escaping to an alternate reality are just some of our small dream themes we 100% support! Shop from over 300 sellers with items ranging from uniquely handcrafted goods, jewellery, vintage clothes, retro games, home decor and more you can’t find at any other bazaar!

Stage your own photoshoot at one of our 7 Instagrammable spots – choose the theme that resonates most with you! Looking for a new hobby or new passion project? Attend one or more of 30 workshops conducted by our own passionate entrepreneurs and hobbyists, whether you like crafts, styling, gaming or action.

Discover and engage with like-minded people in the same community as we go hand in hand to bring your small dreams to life.”

Activities on offer

Narelle Kheng of pop band “The Sam Willows” will be sharing her personal tips for multitasking in “All About Balance”, a session happening only on Saturday, August 17.

Kheng will be dishing out do’s and don’ts on striking a good work-life balance, drawing from her personal experience of balancing her music career, school, family, relationships and life.

In addition, Kheng will also be running a styling workshop, so get ready to listen and take notes on how to look your best for every occasion or event.

There will be 13 workshops on offer this year—entrepreneurs and experts will be teaching skills, everything from how to do to calligraphy to tips on fixing a scratched car door.

Spots for the workshops will be limited, so make your plans and get in on the action before space runs out!

There’s going to be food!

A bazaar isn’t a bazaar without loads of food stalls offering yummy snacks and delicious eats. Take a break from shopping and refuel by feasting on classic funfair foods like fried oreos and twist potatoes, or satisfy your appetites by filling up on meaty treats, like meatballs in a bucket and steaks from Sofnade and Steakville.

Indulge in desserts like rainbow ‘praffles’ from Fooditude or grab some local sweets such as ondeh ondeh churros from Loco Loco.
