Amid rising global oil and domestic pump prices exacerbated by sanctions against Russian oil and gas Singapore’s competition authority says it will investigate signs of coordination in petrol price rises and act against any anti-competitive behaviour.
“Since the start of the year, global oil prices and domestic pump prices had been rising as a result of the Russian-Ukraine tension and retailers here have been adjusting their pump prices periodically,” Second Minister (Trade & Industry) Tan See Leng said on Thursday (Mar 10) in Parliament.

A delivery rider was sent flying across a traffic junction by an oncoming vehicle that did not stop for a red light. The accident happened along Bukit Batok East Avenue.
The Facebook page ROADS.sg posted a video of the incident, which happened on Mar 3 at about 9:15am at the junction of Bukit Batok East Avenue 2 and Bukit Batok East Avenue 5.
Jade Rasif says the money her father David stole is “blood money with bad karma”
Jade Rasif and her sisters Tyen Rasif and Khym Fong rarely talk about their father, David Rasif. However, on rare occasions, the 28-year-old Jade responded to a comment on social media and touched on the topic.
In an Instagram story on Wednesday (March 9), Ms Rasif, shared the conversation she had with a netizen on Facebook about David. The netizen opined that they thought Ms Rasif came from a very wealthy family that included David Rasif as one of its members.
