SINGAPORE: A woman took to social media with a change of heart after she found out the guy she rejected for years finally got his own girlfriend.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the woman wrote: “Thing is, I will never give any chance for him at all. Like pffft come on there are way better guys out there chasing me, so why should I settle for less?”

For three years, she added that the man was the sweetest to her, always a gentleman who never mistreated her and respected her decision when she said she was not interested in him. Despite her rejections, he still tried repeatedly to win her over.

“One day, he hasn’t been the same and kept his distance from me. Months later I found out he has a gf, like seriously?” she wrote, adding that it proved he was never serious to be with her in the first place. However, she added that he looked much more attractive and happy now that he had a girlfriend.

Here’s what netizens who commented on the post said:

Earlier this year, a confused man who thought he was in a stable long-term relationship wanted to know how to cope when he found out his girlfriend did not think the same. In an anonymous post to confessions page NUSWhispers on Facebook, the man wrote: “I am in a stable long term rship or so I thought”.

He explained that his girlfriend recently told him that while she still wanted the relationship “for now”, she was not sure if she wanted them to be in a long-term relationship.

He added that he found her confession to be quite sudden but was sure there was no one else. “She still plans dates for us and makes quite a bit of effort for us but every few days she reminds me of what she said. This is stressful for me because I do not know if each day will be the last day”, the man wrote.
