After her abusive husband is paralysed and bedridden from an accident, woman bravely files for divorce

After her abusive husband was left paralysed and bedridden following a bad accident, a woman said that she went down to the Family Courts to file for divorce against him without guilt.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers on Thursday (Jun 23), the woman asked: “Who is the victim here?”

She explained that her husband met with a bad accident the month before that left him paralysed and bedridden. She added that he was unable to eat on his own, he could not talk, and he needed help with everything.

“Today, I went down to the Family Court to apply for divorce. Nope. I am not going to care for him. I am walking away from this marriage because I’ve had enough. And I believe whatever had happened is the work of Karma”, the woman wrote.

She added that before the accident, her husband was very abusive towards her and their children, both verbally and physically. “He will curse and swear on my family and whoever I love just to cause further hurt and damage on me. He had cheated on me on multiple occasions”, she added.

The woman said that when she was at her lowest where she was broke and lost her job, her husband was not there to support her financially or morally. He expected her to find work and her own means to survive.

When she previously suggested separation, her husband threatened to take their children with him, as he knew she would not be able to live without them.

“Judge me if you want. I have been through enough with this man. He wasn’t there for me not through thick nor thin. So why should I be there for me? Who is the victim here?”, the woman wrote.

Netizens in the comments section were divided. Some felt that the woman was finally free, while others felt that her thinking was not entirely right.
