An accident which happened at Tuas Checkpoint this morning killed one and injured two. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call for assistance at 5.09am and dispatched an ambulance. The paramedics pronounced a man in his 50s dead at the scene. Two other victims, a man and a woman in their 30s, were conveyed conscious to the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
The accident caused delays at the Tuas Checkpoint. Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said that motorists should expect delays, as the accident happened during the morning peak period. By 7am, the incident had also affected the bus and lorry lanes on the arrival link bridge.
Police are investigating the incident.
