ICA seizes 18kg of drugs worth $1.3million, 3 Malaysians arrested for suspected drug offences

Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs in an arriving Malaysia-registered vehicle passing through the Woodlands Checkpoint on May 18.

About 17,704g of heroin, 261g of ‘ice’ and 2g of ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, worth close to S$1,295,000, was seized by officers, said ICA in a media release on Friday (May 20).

Another ERP increase ‘yet traffic problem not solved’, still using same excuse: netizen

Due to a buildup of traffic at various stretches of expressways, as workplace restrictions are eased, authorities are increasing ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) rates.

Members of the public responded that the increase was “an excuse” to “make more money” as ERP rates have increased in the past, yet the traffic situation has not improved.

Video of tearful Muslim hawker goes viral, customers flock to support Halal stall

A video of a hawker stall operator teary-eyed while the caption noted that business was on a decline has gone viral online, spurring quick action from patrons who flocked to the stall until it sold out.

“He left his high-paying job as an exec chef to start his own stall called Mat Western because he wants to earn halal rizqy,” noted media personality Chef Bob who interviewed the Muslim stall owner, Umar Fabrice.
