Facebook user Md Sharfu yesterday shared how he wrongly gave out change for £1,000 when the customer only gave him £100 to change into Singapore dollars.
Sharfu said:
“Hi posting this to get the attention of the concerned person in the photos. Hope you guys help to share this.
On 18/10/2018 , Thursday at around 12.30pm the person seen in the photo changed GBP100 to SGD in our money changer shop . (Location withheld for customer’s privacy). Our sales assistant wrongly entered the amount as GBP1000.(receipt attached)
Attention To the person :
“We hope you see this post and come forward to return the extra money to us. ( By Whichever means you prefer) We have the full footage of this transaction and also your facial reaction upon seeing the wrong amount on the receipt, all recorded in our CCTV. Our motive is NOT to shame you at all and we have even digitised your facial features and the receipt for your own privacy. For some reason the post was deleted, but not before drawing the ridicule of Facebook users who responded to the post. People who responded to the post asked how the money changer can be so careless.
Others asked where the moneychanger’s shop was so that they could change their money there as well.
Yet others said that it was unlikely for the moneychanger to recover the money.
The deleted post re-appeared again but under a different handle earlier today.
