PM Lee Hsien Loong and some of his MPs from Ang Mo Kio GRC joined-in in the Sengkang West SMC’s 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday (Jul 10), and as part of the celebration, the PM and his MPs danced to Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’.

The MP who stood out among all the PM’s men was Dr Koh Poh Koon, the colorectal surgeon. Not only because he was the only one wearing black, but also because of his dance moves.

Dr Koh was fielded in Punggol East single member constituency in the 2012 by-election and promoted himself as the ‘son of Punggol’ at that election. He lost the by-election to Workers’ Party candidate Lee Li Lian. In the 2015 General Election, he was fielded in Ang Mo Kio GRC as part of PM Lee’s 6-men team in that constituency.

Facebook user Lim Wen Gio commenting on Dr Kho’s Facebook post said: “Alamak you forgot to wear uniform~ ?.”

And Jacqueline Phung said: “Woo…you’re flexibility dancing…made me wanted to dance with you….Mr Poh!??.”

Even artistic director of W!ld Rice and Cultural Medallion winner Ivan Heng liked the video. Sharing it in his Facebook, Mr Heng said: “Cause you know, it’s all about that base? So shake it, shake it, yeah!!!”

Blogger MrMiyagi sharing the same video said: “You cannot make this up. The Colorectal Surgeon-General is dancing to All About That Base.”

We are not sure if Meghan Trainor has seen the Singapore Prime Minister and his Merry Men dancing to her music video, but she may give two thumbs-up if she did.
