SINGAPORE: A man took to Facebook to express shock and dismay after seeing a woman in a hijab selling pork satay at a Woodlands pasar malam stall.
Mr Victor Shafeeq Peters addressed his “dear Muslim brothers & sisters” in the post, adding that he was “sharing this just to raise awareness with no ill intentions”. He also appealed to others to share his post.

SINGAPORE: A local Reddit user crowdsourced for his Filipino friend who’s been in Singapore for 13 years, but whose application for Permanent Residency (PR) has been rejected 12 times.
The friend has worked as a Senior Programmer in the country since 2009. He first applied for PR in 2011, and it was rejected. His application has also been rejected every year since then.

In an anonymous post to popular confessions page for students from NUS, a woman wrote that she had been texting a guy from China. She added that they got to know each other by chance where recently he talked to her and asked to hang out sometimes as he does not know many people.

SINGAPORE: The Banana Leaf Apolo outlet at Little India Arcade is being criticised online after a netizen blasted the branch for allegedly overcharging him for basic items like rice and ppoadams.
Facebook user Pravin Kumar visited the outlet on Wednesday (May 10) and had lunch there with his wife and two business associates. The group ordered a small fish head curry, prawn and tomato thokku, an onion omelette, sura puttu, a pani puri set, and two Bru coffees.
