In a new video, the secretary-general of the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Dr Chee Soon Juan reminded Singaporeans of the behaviour of the People’s Action Party (PAP) after they lost six seats in the 2011 General Elections.

He said, “Remember, all this apologising, stepping down, cutting salaries, calling for their party to change and to treat Singporeans like human beings, all this took place when the PAP lost a few seats at the 2011 election”.

He also said that after the general elections in 2015, when the PAP’s vote share increased to 70 per cent, “the PAP started to raise prices for a series of items”.

“To cap it off, they arrogantly tell you they are going to increase the GST to 9% after the next GE”, Dr Chee said.

“Do you see the pattern, my friends?” he asked.

Dr Chee also explained that the SDP plans to focus on three main issues this coming election.
