‘Claypot explode on table after mum heat up tofu’ — Family shocked when their redeemed claypot gift cracked into two during use

A TikToker posted a video of their mum’s new clay pot that “exploded on the table” after she had reheated some tofu.

They tagged @ntucsingapore as they had gotten the Winnie-the-Pooh clay pot as a redemption gift during a recent promo, and a spokesman for FairPrice has reached out to the TikToker and said they will be in touch with the supplier as well.

Boy who stole purse containing $1,690 belonging to single mum of 5 confesses, returns empty purse but promises to pay back $100 monthly

A teenage boy who is said to have taken the purse of a woman at a playground in Punggol on Aug 5 has allegedly apologised and promised to pay her back.

Aided by his mother, the boy confessed to his misdeed, saying that he regretted having taken the woman’s purse, which contained $1,690.

The question was asked one night in 2010. An important member of the Old Guard — Goh Keng Swee — had passed away, and I was among the Today journalists who were processing the news for the next day’s newspaper.

The question, asked gently, was: “Who is he?” It was posed by a computer engineer who was on duty in the newsroom.
