Facebook user Alvin Tan appealed for eyewitnesses or video evidence of an accident in which his grandmother was killed. The accident happened on 2 Sep (Friday) at about 10am, along Bukit Panjang, Pending Road.
The accident allegedly happened when his grandmother was on the roadside waiting for a taxi. A bus, PB3658H, which was parked on the downward slope along Bukit Panjang, rolled down and hit the old woman. The woman was on her way for her morning marketing.
The driver claimed that he was not in the bus when the accident happened. He had gone to the toilet to relieve himself when the bus rolled down. The bus knocked down a road sign, and went over the kerb for a considerable distance.
Alvin said that the road sign hit half of his grandmother’s face with a huge impact. She also sustained an open would in her leg, which exposed her bones. His grandmother was pronounced dead at NUH between 11.15am to 11.30 am.
Alvin added that the bus driver was negligent and that he feels that there is something amiss in the accident. He appealed for eyewitnesses or witnesses with video evidence to come forward to help him.
