Woman hit by and trapped underneath public bus in Sengkang dies from her injuries

A 38-year-old woman has died from injuries she sustained after an SBS Transit bus collided into her at the junction of Anchorvale Road and Sengkang East Way, around 2.40pm yesterday. The woman is believed to have been trapped under the bus.

The woman, Ms Huan Luyang, was extricated and conveyed unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She succumbed to her injuries at 3.40am today and passed away in the hospital.

SBS Transit had said in a statement following the collision that their top priority was the state of the pedestrian who was in critical condition at the time. It said that it is rendering assistance to the victim’s family and is assisting in ongoing police investigations.
