13-year-old boy dies after accident during PE lesson at Geylang Methodist

A 13-year-old student of Geylang Methodist Secondary School died in hospital today (24 April) after being struck by a goal post.  The incident happened sometime after 9am during the PE lesson.

The goalpost fell on the boy and hit his head when he grabbed onto it. He was playing football with his classmates at that time.

He was rushed to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, but succumbed later to his injuries. The police are investigating the case, which has been classified as unnatural death.
