Shin Min Daily News reported that a 10-year-old girl narrowly missed being hit by a piece of roof that fell off from her toilet roof. The incident happened yesterday (26 Sep) at about 3.45pm at a 11th-storey apartment at Block 325 Bukit Batok East Ave 5.
The girl was about to walk out of the toilet after taking a shower when a chunk of the roof weighing about 1.4kg fell just 30 cm behind her. The family’s foreign domestic worker who witnessed the incident said that it was a close shave, and that if it had fallen earlier, it could have been fatal.
