Not many people may be aware that the head of animal welfare group Save Our Street Dogs, Dr Siew Tuck Wah, is a medical doctor and practices aesthetics medicine. Recently, he exposed as fake a viral video which showed pigmentation on a woman’s face being instantaneously removed through laser treatment.
Dr Siew said that he decided to cut the video because he felt that it was “deliberately designed to cheat people and drive traffic to the clinic.” His video showed the doctor creating ‘makeup-induced’ pigmentation on one side of his face, while showing real pigmentation on his other cheek.
Dr Siew’s recreation of the trick involving an eyebrow pencil proved that the ‘transformation effect’ in the original video was simply a trick.
