“We’re intelligent vaxxers, not anti-vaxxers” — ‘Healing the Divide’ founder responds to MOH

“We are not anti-vaxxers. We have many people who are vaccinated who are in our group. They are in our group because they have either suffered from injuries after taking the vaccines, or have loved ones who died after taking the vaccine. Some are even Super-Vaxxers!” — Iris Koh

Singapore — Responding to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) statement regarding the group “Healing the Divide” anti-vaccination stance, founder Iris Koh reiterated they were not anti-vaxxers but intelligent vaxxers.

On Sunday (Nov 7), MOH called out Healing the Divide as it “adopts an anti-vaccination stance and claims to warn people about the dangers of vaccination.”

“MOH notes that Iris Koh’s channel has a history of posting and sharing content that perpetuates falsehoods and misleading information about Covid-19 and vaccines.”

MOH, therefore, notes and welcomes the latest removal of content from the YouTube channel by Iris Koh, which includes “Town Hall Meeting: United We Stand For Choice” and “Healing the Divide: Remembering Those We Love and Lost”, for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.

It was also reported that Ms Koh’s Facebook had previously suspended Ms Koh’s account on several occasions for violating Community Guidelines,

On the same day, Ms Loh issued a response, hoping to set the records straight.

“We are not anti-vaxxers. We have many people who are vaccinated who are in our group. They are in our group because they have either suffered from injuries after taking the vaccines, or have loved ones who died after taking the vaccine. Some are even Super-Vaxxers!” Ms Koh explained.

She highlighted that the group consists of doctors and medical professionals who are vaccinated and have vaccinated others.

“Some others are in our group because they are worried that they may also be fired if they do not take the booster shots, or their children cannot graduate if they are not vaccinated.”

“We only want to protect ourselves, our children and our loved ones. Is this wrong?” she added.

In fact, we see ourselves as intelligent vaxxers, said Ms Koh.

Her statement included several questions directed at MOH, such as “Is YouTube the final arbitrator truth?”

“Mr Shanmugam, our Law Minister, for the record has said on multiple occasions, that the final arbiter of truth is the Court, not YouTube, not WHO,” added Ms Koh.

Her second question focused on MOH’s alignment with YouTube, noting it was a US for-profit company.

She also asked which parts of her town hall event were misinformation and what MOH was doing to reduce the rising death numbers in the community.

“Instead of caring about the feedback from the public, MOH has made the announcement that Healing the Divide and the work that I am doing as misinformation, with no proof or further elaboration. This is truly disappointing,” said Ms Koh.

The group will be sharing their list of questions for MOH to answer, hoping they will be addressed in a logical and scientific manner.

“Once answered, I will be the first in line at the vaccination centre to take my vaccine,” said Ms Koh. /TISG
