Woman donates kidney to BF then gets cheated on and dumped 7 months later

United States – “You only donated your kidney to look good,” said Colleen Le’s then-boyfriend after she gave him her left kidney but eventually cheated on her before dumping her.

Ms Le, 30, met her ex about six years ago and discovered that he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 17 years old.

Opposition MPs don’t have the pleasure of distributing Edusave awards: WP’s Jamus Lim, can write letters to Sengkang awardees instead

Singapore – Opposition Workers’ Party (WP) Member of Parliament Jamus Lim expressed his willingness to write a signed letter of encouragement to Sengkang residents, given that Opposition MPs don’t have the opportunity to hand out Edusave awards to exemplary students.

In a Facebook post, the Sengkang GRC MP and Associate Professor of Economics at ESSEC Business School said that parents have reached out to him regarding the Edusave awards, which are grants typically given to students in the top 10 per cent of a school’s cohort.

‘Proud of my contribution to Singapore law’ — Lim Tean celebrates pub case win

Singapore — Lawyer and opposition leader Lim Tean called a judgment handed down by the High Court on Thursday (Jan 27) as one of “Supreme Importance” as it’s the first time where the defence of frustration was invoked in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.

One of the clients Mr Lim is representing is the proprietor of a pub that was badly affected by the closure of nighttime establishments since March 2020, similar to many others. His client is being sued by a former landlord for over $400 000 in unpaid rental fees.

17 months jail for maid who shot and shared TikTok video of herself bathing old man

Singapore – A domestic worker in Singapore was sentenced to 17 months’ jail on Thursday (Jan 27) after she admitted recording and sharing online video of her bathing the 74-year-old man she looked after.

The 33-year-old woman uploaded the clip to the short-video app TikTok and shared it online without his consent. She admitted twice distributing the recordings intentionally of the naked and helpless man without his permission.
