Local private bus company A & S Transit revealed in a quirky TikTok video that many of its drivers were young and enjoying their lives on the job.

Although unbelievable at first, the company introduced its young drivers, the youngest being 21 years old.

The young members are part of the Friends of A & S Transit (F.A.S.T Community), a group of bus enthusiasts who achieved their dreams of becoming bus captains.

Nine young bus captains were featured in the video, including something about their personality, such as Herman, 23, said to be the “definition of inner peace,” or Zack, 22, who was “the most chaotic one”.

One was even called “Uncle Heeee” (real name Brendon Hee), although they don’t know how he got the nickname when he was only 22 years old. “Uncle Heeee is a simp for bus number 9271,” the video noted.

“They have lots of fun together. And they are really close to one another,” the video noted, describing the group.

It showed the daily life of the drivers, such as maintaining the buses, playing together, or resting after a long day.

“Say all you want about bus drivers. It’s stereotypical to say ‘there’s no hope or future anymore’ if you become a bus driver,” said F.A.S.T. Community.

“Times have changed. For us, this is what we want to do. From time to time, it can get really mundane. But for us, it is the passion that drives us forward and will be for many years to come.”

Netizens found the video inspiring and refreshing to see people hustle out of the box.

Others commented that some of the young drivers were their classmates and were glad they achieved their dreams. /TISG
