Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers for Avengers:Infinity War and Avengers:Endgame shared that there was a deleted scene in Avengers:Infinity War that went overboard – and it involved bloody mashed potatoes.
Photo: Creative Commons
IGN’s David Griffin asked Markus and McFeely if there were any moments in writing Infinity War or Endgame that was deemed “going too far” when they presented it to the producers and Kevin Feige.
“There was one scene, it was in Infinity War, We wrote it, we didn’t shoot it. It was part and parcel of a whole thing where we realised we were picking up the characters too early in their arc before Thanos had gotten to them. It was a scene of basically Widow and Falcon and Cap in hiding post-Civil War and they’d just been through a big fight with criminals, and Cap was eating mashed potatoes, says Markus began.
“You’re bleeding into your mashed potatoes.” He looks at him like…yeah he is bleeding into his mashed potatoes. I remember Kevin [Feige] going “He’s bleeding into his mashed potatoes?! I don’t want to see that!” Yeah, maybe we went a little too…something.” Falcon says
.
There is a list of stories on some of the many scenes cut from both Infinity War and Endgame and these mashed potatoes story is just one of them.
Among others are “Doctor Strange’s Magical Mystery Tour” and the Living Tribunal, The Birth of Smart Hulk, Captain America and Red Skull teaming up, and Thanos killing the past Avengers.
The Avengers:Infinity War scene earned IGN’s number 5 spot in their ranking of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Infinity Saga.

Selena Gomez is best friends with Taylor Swift. Picture: Instagram
It is no secret that Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift have been feuding for years.
Selena Gomez recently uploaded a photo of herself trying on Kim’s new shapewear line, Skims.
Photo: Screengrab from Instagram
When Taylor Swift got angry, Selena deleted the photo and instantly posted a photo praising her BFF, Taylor.
Swifties (fans of Taylor Swift) are upset at Selena Gomez for posting the picture.
Selena Gomez has unknowingly and accidentally thrown herself in the crosshairs of two feuding personalities by complimenting Kim Kardashian on Instagram.
She quickly backtracked when the Swifties came after her.
Kim and Taylor started feuding when the latter felt she was wronged by both Kanye and Kim after Kim released a private phone conversation between Taylor and Kanye.
Kanye also lied to Taylor several times, embarrassing her publicly and it all ended in the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty.
It has been years but no one is over it.
Selena just got her hands on some items from Kim’s new shapewear line, Skims, posting about them on Instagram and saying that they were ‘legit so freaking comfortable.’
Obviously Swifties were not happy about this so they went on Twitter to voice their displeasure.
you know, even if Taylor is ok with Selena supporting skims, I don't have to be ok with it. that's my decision. pic.twitter.com/XcKeqcNcpP
Upon realisation of the situation, Selena deleted the Instagram story immediately and replaced it with some Taylor propaganda.
She uploaded a selfie with Taylor and the caption read, “My ride of die. I would die for this one.”

“Thank you for forever being by my side,” she continued. “You have taught me so much, walked through all of this with me, STAYED and you remind me to be a better human being. I am on your side for life.”
Scarlett Wong, sister of Jacqueline Wong is shooting down the latest rumours surrounding the Hong Kong actress.
Even though she can’t really comment much about Jacqueline’s mental state as she is not aware of her sister’s condition, Scarlett is dispelling the rumours.
Malay Mail quoted Ming Pao as saying that Scarlett denied Jacqueline has changed her career to be a real estate agent.
“You will need to sit for exams first before you can call yourself a real estate agent.
“Tomorrow I will be an agent and I will change my name to Veronica,” Scarlett said sarcastically, denying that Jacqueline had also changed her name to Rachel.
“As long as she is happy and healthy, let her decide on what she wants to do with her life,” added Scarlett.
It is believed that 30-year-old Jacqueline went to the United States after a kissing scandal with actor and singer Andy Hui in April which led to the breakup of her relationship with actor Kenneth Ma.
It is rumoured that Jacqueline is pregnant with Hui’s child.
Malay Mail quoted Oriental Daily as saying Jacqueline was supposedly preparing to register her marriage at Los Angeles and the news is becoming viral.
A previous report in March showed that Jacqueline was spotted vomiting during filming but the star said it was due to fatigue.
Netizens are advised not to speculate over the rumours but to be concern over the condition of Hui’s wife, singer and actress Sammi Cheng.

Even though Sammi was burdened by the news of Andy’s cheating scandal for months, she instead directed all her focus onto her concert production.
After her 13-concert tour has wrapped up, Sammi told Hong Kong media at her afterparty that she would be taking time off to go on a holiday to recharge.
When asked if she would be travelling with her husband, she waved off the question saying she was heading off “with friends”.
Hong Kong actor Dickey Cheung and his wife, Jess, were also spotted at the same airport on the same day.
Both couples presumably had arranged to travel separately before regrouping in order to not draw attention to themselves, reported Apple Daily.
It is also speculated that the four were headed towards England to meet up with Hong Kong producer Mark Lui and his wife.
As Sammi previously had a history of depression, it might be a huge relief for fans to see her well and on amicable terms with her husband again.
Insiders reported on Oct 30, that Kim Gun Mo is engaged to a pianist in her late 30s and was a student at the Berklee College of Music.

On the other hand, Kim Gun Mo’s mother is returning to SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling” for the first time in eight months, and some wondered if she is doing this to announce his marriage.
In response, a representative of the program shared, “We were completely unaware of Kim Gun Mo’s marriage news. We are being careful about addressing the issue as it is Kim Gun Mo’s private life, but it was never mentioned in our previous recordings.”
Since the breaking of the news, trot singer Tae Jin Ah also took to his Instagram and congratulated Kim Gun Mo. Along with a photo of them together, Tae Jin Ah wrote in the caption, “Congratulations on your marriage, Gun Mo. Everyone, Kim Gun Mo is getting married. Fans, please send your blessings.”

He is said to be the country’s most successful musical artist of the 1990s.

Selena Gomez is best friends with Taylor Swift. Picture: Instagram
In the past decade, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were in and out of relationship and when they were together, there is a lot of evidence Justin cheated on Selena.
Selena has come forward to say her relationship with Justin was ‘toxic’. It’s not a secret that Justin and Selena did not have a healthy relationship.
For close to a decade, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s on and off relationship went on and on so many times, fans lost count.
It is also believed that even when things seemed good; the truth was that it wasn’t because Justin went through a lot.
Photo: Screengrab from Instagram
Selena’s most recent comments about her past relationship with Justin give away a lot of information.
In a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show, Selena shared about her love life, especially her first serious one.
“You’re in a phase of life where you experience love for the first time and I think that can just be just a little toxic,” she said. “You have this codependency that you think is love and then you have this addiction to the passion and the frustration with each other that you think, ‘Oh, that’s love,’ or fighting or doing all this stuff, ‘Oh that’s love,’ and I believed that for a long time.”
Even though Selena didn’t name anyone, it was clear who she was referring too.
Selena’s first love was Justin and according to insiders from both sides, things got really complicated between them.
In an interview with i-dMagazine back in 2015, Justin hinted that he cheated on Selena, saying, “You’re on the road. And there are beautiful women on the road,” he said. “And you’re just getting yourself into trouble.”
Taylor Swift confirmed that Justin was unfaithful when she liked a Tumblr post about Justin cheating on Selena.
It isn’t shocking that Selena called her relationship with Justin toxic. The shocking thing is she ignored the fact that she rekindled her romance with Justin for one last time in late 2017/early 2018, saying, “I’ve been super, super single for two years.”
Selena, you may want to forget, but the internet remembers.
The real issue in the Ramesh Erramalli incident is not Ramesh Erramalli.
Although some online reactions hinted at racism – Ramesh is Indian (foreign one) and the security officers involved are non-Indian and therefore were at the receiving end of an a***shole Indian, never mind the nationality – any kind of bullying by any foreigner, of any race or nationality, of locals of any race MUST NOT be tolerated. Any elected Singapore politician who has been elected by us to represent our interests must make this abundantly and unambiguously clear. If he or she acts otherwise, the politician does not deserve our support or respect.
But first, let us look at the whole thing objectively. I have watched the video. Yes, the security officers were professional, never losing their cool, even as the JP Morgan employee was losing his cool over the after-11 parking fee of $10 for visitors to the condo. And, yes, Ramesh was using expletives but they were not directed at the officers, more at the parking fee and the management. He offered his name and contact number. I think it was partly a case of his losing face since the car was apparently driven by his guest or guests’. And latest report said he has apologised to the security staff for his behaviour. Good for him.
Nevertheless, any kind of boorish behaviour by anyone of any race or nationality should be condemned.
Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugratanam (an Indian, if you have not noticed) said: “What this resident did and said was wrong – at so many levels. It is these examples of modern-day bigotry and a sense of entitlement that the light of Deepavali seeks to dispel … But we should absolutely avoid threatening or harassing the resident concerned. A police report has been made by the security officer, and we should leave it to the Police to handle.” Nicely said.
So we will leave the bad behaviour part of the Ramesh incident and talk about something else which has really been eating Singaporeans.
SM Tharman and the errant JP Morganite each made remarks which touched on some aspects of the growing social divide and Singaporeans’ sense of being abandoned by a government in its pursuit of wealth, plastic equality and false happiness.
The Senior Minister mentioned sense of entitlement. Right. Someone buys a condo and instantly, he is in a different class altogether. Quote from Ramesh: “I bought your f***ing property for $1.5 million, you know? This is $1.5 million, okay?” He added, this is not HDB. Is Ramesh every bit like some Singaporeans? Is he like, as SMRT Feedback by The Vigilanteh puts it, “the Singaporean who would use cleaners and Grab drivers as a barometer of success (my words here: meaning the security staff, Grabbers and cleaners are not worthy of being associated with). He is the Singaporean who wouldn’t share an MRT seat with Bangladeshi construction workers. ..He is a manifestation. He is you.” And The Vigilanteh was supported by Mediacorp actress Jane Rasif who posted a one word comment “Exactly”.
The way that Ramesh dismissed “HDB” simply amplifies a longheld, obviously unfair, perception. HDB flats are pigeonholes housing the local hordes and private housing is for the upper class who should be treated differently as they are entitled to lord it over others not sharing their world.
Why do you think everyone want their children to do well? To get away from the HDB environment into a gated one where they can shut themselves from a world of alleged low-achievers, cardboard uncles and aunties, smelly and dirty lifts, loudmouthed drunken people at coffeeshops, an avalanche of irritating flyers, O$P$ door and wall paintings and a mountain of rules and regulations.
If we think about it, many Singaporeans are probably asking themselves: If foreigners can now get away with or even think about venting their frustrations at locals just doing their work – whether security guards, taxi-drivers or waitresses – how much tougher life will be if our gates are opened to let in another tsunami of foreigners? Government leaders have been talking about a 10 million population. They should learn from the 2011 General Elections when the voters gave a loud No to the opening of the immigration floodgates.
Everything that takes place outside the Istana takes its cue from the behaviour of Singapore’s leaders.
If the leaders feel they are natural aristocrats, immediately the rest of us become the Eight Riversuites security guards, a convenient punchbag for foreigners who themselves feel they are also aristocrats. Ramesh said he paid $1.5 million for his property and therefore implied he was entitled to break the rules and set his own. And instead of viewing their entry into politics as a desire to serve, our leaders view it as a “sacrifice” for which they must be compensated. What values are they exemplifying?
And if a noticeable number of top positions, albeit filled by the criteria of merit and track record, are held by people close to or related to the leadership, where does that leave the rest of us? What kind of professional tension and checks will be in place to break group-thinking or prevent abuse or nepotism?
If Ramesh is the foreign equivalent of the ugly Singaporean, the ugly Singaporean is himself the product of a self-entitled leadership and establishment. That is why politicians like Chiam See Tong, Low Thia Khiang and Tan Cheng Bock – who are natural mixers and do not need to prop themselves up with a coterie of equally self-entitled sycophants – have an honourable place in local folklore.
Don’t look to the current group of leaders if you are hoping not to get another Ramesh Erramalli. They are the very reason for his existence in Singapore.
Tan Bah Bah is a former senior leader writer with The Straits Times. He was also managing editor of a local magazine publishing company.

Will Jennifer Aniston quit Instagram after promoting the new Apple series The Morning Show? It has been reported that the actress joined Instagram only because she wanted to promote the new TV series.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Aniston broke the Instagram when she created an Instagram account with a lot of people following her till the app crashed.
According to Gossip Cop who quoted OK! as saying that fans should not follow Aniston on the social media anymore because the Friends star is only using the social media platform to her professional advantage.
“Jen’s very private and couldn’t understand why anyone would want to reveal every detail of their lives,” a supposed insider tells the outlet. “That was until [The Morning Show co-star] Reese [Witherspoon] explained she could use Instagram to promote [their TV show].”
The source goes on to say that once she’s done plugging her new TV series, “Jen will quit social media.”
It may be that one of the actress’s reasons for joining the social media platform was to promote The Morning Show and other projects, but it isn’t her sole reason and she is not quitting once the show aired on 1 November.
Photo: Screengrab from Instagram
As of 31 Oct, Aniston have not shared any promotional material on Instagram.
Even though joining Instagram does help with publicity for the project, Aniston’s Instagram feed doesn’t feature content from The Morning Show.
In an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Friends star explained why she finally joined Instagram.
She used to be afraid of social media but now she finds it practical.
“[You can] share information, connect with your fans, right wrongs that are said about you, have fun, make fun of yourself, make fun of people. Help animals get rescued,” the actress said.
The Morning Show is being renewed for a second season so does that mean Aniston will shut down her Instagram account and reactivate it once Season 2 is aired?
So far this claim is unfounded. Aniston’s rep shared that it is just a rumour.
Another rumour that started going around is that Aniston is working on a secret TV show with Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc.
