‘Ownself pui ownself’ — Uncle spits at another uncle in heated argument, but spit backfires cos’ mask still on

Are masks so much a part of the new normal that people forget they’re wearing them? This may have happened to one man, who, in the heat of an altercation with another driver, spat at him. Unfortunately, his intended insult backfired.

The altercation certainly was a heated one, with both men shouting at each other and even making rude signs with their middle fingers.

The incident was caught on video by a man who, along with his wife, was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the dispute, a ComfortDelGro taxi. The other car was a Nissan.

At one point, the driver of the Nissan spits at the taxi driver. The driver retaliates and is taken aback for a few seconds when he appears to realise he’s wearing a mask.

But then he proceeds to shout at the other man again.

The incident occurred last Saturday (Apr 30) at 3:40 pm, and the video was posted on the SG Road Vigilante – SGRV Facebook page on May 1.

Some commenters posted a reminder, however, that spitting is a serious offence.
