Singapore — The custom of transporting Singapore’s migrant workers in lorries has been questioned by some as problematic.

In April of this year, two accidents within five days involving lorries transporting workers claimed the lives of two workers and sent over a dozen others to the hospital.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah said on Sunday (Nov 21) that parents in Singapore have raised certain issues and challenges.

Cat caught on camera dropping off a ‘gift’ inside hair salon, turns out to be a snake!

Thailand — While some cats show their affection and respect to their owners in the form of gifts, from leaves to their prized catch of the day, one in particular, was caught on camera strolling into a hair salon and dropping off a snake!

It was a typical day for a Thai hairdresser working in a salon in the southern Thailand city Songkhla.

New way of signalling when changing lanes: Driver opens car door & flashes his finger at Woodlands

Singapore — As if implementing a new way of signalling to others while trying to change lanes on the road, a driver was caught on camera opening his car door and flashing the finger at an incoming vehicle.

On Friday (Nov 19), Facebook page SG Road Vigilante uploaded a video taken recently from Woodlands Ave 1.

Nagaenthran’s family set to sue Attorney-General’s Chambers

Singapore — The family of a Malaysian convict on death row whose case has received international attention of late will be taking Singapore’s Attorney-General, Lucien Wong, to court due to reported “negligence” by the criminal justice system.

Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam, 33, who has an IQ of 69 and is said to suffer from intellectual disability, was scheduled to be judicially executed on Nov 10, but was given a temporary stay of execution after testing positive for Covid on Nov 8.
