Cat caught on camera dropping off a ‘gift’ inside hair salon, turns out to be a snake!

Thailand — While some cats show their affection and respect to their owners in the form of gifts, from leaves to their prized catch of the day, one in particular, was caught on camera strolling into a hair salon and dropping off a snake!

It was a typical day for a Thai hairdresser working in a salon in the southern Thailand city Songkhla.

However, a certain feline had other plans.

A video, which was shared on Facebook, depicts the shock of everyone inside the salon when they spotted a snake inside the premises.

A tuxedo bicoloured black & white cat named Ma Ruay was spotted entering the hair salon of her owner, with the snake in her mouth.

The people around Ma Ruay didn’t see the present at first, so she meowed to catch their attention.

At the sight of the snake, the women inside the salon began screaming and moving away from the cat.

A hairdresser picked up a bottle and threw it in the direction of the cat in hopes of urging her to exit the salon.

However, Ma Ruay really wanted to give her mum the present, so she ran straight towards the hairdresser.

It appears that the feline caught the snake by the tail, and it was still squirming while being dragged across the floor.

Sensing she got her mum’s attention, Ma Ruay then dropped the snake.

The hairdresser quickly grabbed a broom and began hitting the snake with the handle before sweeping it out of the premises.

With over 97,000 views to date, members from the online community commented that the cat had brought her owner luck.

Meanwhile, others poked fun at the owner’s reaction from the perspective of Ma Ruay, who only wanted to give her a present.

Hopefully, the feline will choose a more docile gift in the future.
