A woman who thought she met a possible boyfriend on a dating app was devastated after she found out he had asked her friend out too.

She wrote that she had been dating him for two weeks and was waiting for him to ask her out on a date. After sharing his photos with her best friend, the two women found that both of them had matched with the same guy. “That meant that he was still using cmb (dating app) after he knew me”, the woman wrote.

The woman, who matched with the guy on Coffee Meets Bagel (CMB) shared that she “thought he’s a nice guy. He’s not exactly handsome but he can really keep the conversation going and we also share many hobbies”.

She added that in order to test if the guy was serious about her, she asked her friend to message him and hoped that he would not reply. “To my horror, he not only replied her, but used the same pickup lines on her that he used on me. I then asked my friend to ask him out as the final test. He immediately agreed to a movie date. I then asked her to block him which she did”, she wrote.

Devastated and upset, the woman wrote that she was heartbroken and asked how he could flirt with her for two weeks and then accept a date with another girl.

“Worst thing is, that’s my friend. I know I should(n’t) feel this way, but I feel very jealous”, she wrote. In her post to popular confessions page SGWhispers on Wednesday (May 4), the woman added that she felt very betrayed because he was willing to go out on a date with her friend the very day the two of them started talking.

She asked netizens for advice: “How easy is that? I feel so betrayed by the guy. Should I block him too, or ask him out and not show up to waste his time?”.

Netizens were not at all sympathetic towards her. Most explained that this was how dating worked. Others also added that the guy did not even meet her, yet she was so possessive over him.
