A netizen who found she had a “nightmare coworker” took to social media to rant about the matter.
In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the netizen wrote that they had a colleague who was habitually late and that their lateness would range from 10 minutes to 2 hours. The netizen added that his colleague would always have “lame excuses like she need to” have a bowel movement.
“It’s so frustrating to work with someone like her. Even after verbal warnings by the management & warning letter she’s still strolling in LATE like a boss”, the netizen wrote.
Calling it a “horrible toxic company with no discipline”, the netizen added that other coworkers were also starting to follow suit. Not only does the netizen’s colleague come in late frequently, but they wrote that she would also frequently play truant “cause she’s still sleeping then apply for urgent leave”.
The netizen added that they did not understand how people could work as she did without a care in the world for their fellow colleagues.
The common advice that those who commented on the post gave the netizen was to either ‘beat them or join them’. Here’s what they said:
The student wrote that while on their school holidays, they decided to get a part-time job. In an anonymous post to popular confessions page SGWhispers, the student wrote that they were able to find a job rather quickly and signed a contract for two years. According to the job advertisement, it was a part-time job.
However, the student wrote: “i did not know the difference between contract of service and contract for service”. Only after signing the contract did the student’s boss say that they had joined as a freelancer and not a part-timer. Because of this, the student wrote, they did not have Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions from the company and were not entitled to any leave either.
