Singapore — Actress and host Joanne Peh Wei Siew or just Joanne Peh, cleared the pregnancy rumours in a very subtle manner with her new photo posted on her Instagram account on Thursday (Nov 19).
The pregnancy rumours started to spread last week Thursday (Nov 11), after Ms Peh posted a harmless and suspicious photo on her Instagram with the caption “Hello, from the 5 of us,” but in the photo, the present people around her are just three members of her makeup team and staff.
The netizens then suspected that she is pregnant and was giving hints to her fans for a big revelation. After a week, the 38-year-old actress decided to let her life flow and just update her followers time after time.
Her Instagram caption said “Hello from the two of us, can u spot her now? My daughter picked out this cover because she says, I look like and speak good Mandarin like Mulan. There was a period when she wanted to hear the story of Mulan before bed every night. Thankfully, she moved on before I got bored of repeating it. I started thinking about the importance of role models.”

“For me, Mulan embodies Fearlessness and Wit, two qualities I hope will accompany the young lady I brought into this world for life, as she goes on to meet new challenges coming her way. Do you have a favourite Disney princess? What are the qualities that stand out or that you think are important to have?” she added with a warm smile in her photo.
As some netizens tried to solve and analyse what she previously said, Ms Peh confirmed through this post, the fifth person she was referring to was not a baby, but instead the fictional Disney character, Mulan, in her cellphone case, and she is not expecting a new baby.
Meanwhile, Peh posted a new post on Friday (Nov 19) via her Instagram account expressing her sentiments while seeing and listening to her daughter play the piano.

In the post, she shared that she too took piano lessons but only until grade three and realised that into her adult years, she disliked being separated from her main caregiver— her mom. Now that she is a mother, according to Ms Peh, looking at her own children enjoying piano classes, she’s glad her children are embracing music happily.
At the end of the post, she thanked the Joy Waltz Academy, a music school in Singapore, for taking care of and teaching her children well.
Ms Peh has two children: a six-year-old daughter, Baby Qi, and a four-year-old son, Qi Didi. Peh is married to a Chinese actor, Qi Yuwu, who is also based in Singapore. /TISG.
