Commuters taking the Circle Line on Tuesday morning were in for multiple delays before SMRT threw in free bus services.
At 6.57am, the first tweet came to say that there would be an additional 5 minutes of travel time between Paya Lebar and MacPherson stations. At 706am, normal train services had resumed.
10 minutes later however, commuters were informed that they should expect an additional 5 minutes travelling time from Dhoby Ghaut to MacPherson. The additional time was first raised to 10 minutes then 15 minutes.
At 8.31am, the public transport operator finally announced that free bus services were available between Paya Lebar and Bishan stations.
Earlier this month, the train service on the Circle Line was delayed on five consecutive days due to signalling issues.
