UPDATE: The body of the missing boatman has been found late today (13 Jul) evening. It was retrieved by SCDF firefighters from the Singapore River, with assistance from PUB.


Several Tweeters shared videos and pictures of a bumboat on fire at Marina Bay. Tweeter 릿@hihazirah in sharing a video said: “omg a boat caught on fire at marina bay ?? not sure if anyone’s still on board.”

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirms that a man who jumped off from the burning boat is missing and that they have commenced search operations for him in the river.
