Hannah Yeoh chides Malaysian cabinet on Mulyani’s ‘best minister’ award

The State Assembly member for N31 Subang Jaya since 2008, and Speaker of Selangor State Legislative Assembly in the state of Selangor, Hannah Yeoh chided Malaysian PM Najib Razak’s cabinet:

On the Indonesian Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati being crowned ‘Best Minister in the World’, the Democratic Action Party member said:
“This is pretty amazing. What a feat! Anyone from Najib’s cabinet won any similar awards? I mean reputable awards,” she asked on her Facebook page.

Yeoh, who has more than 187,000 Facebook followers, is known for her candid posts that would rile her opponents but would get her followers and supporters looking for more.

Responsible for the budget of Southeast Asia’s largest economy, the Indonesian Minister of Finance was presented the award by the UAE’s Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the six annual World Government Summit in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.

Facebook Followers added their thoughts to the comments by the YB, but no comments from officials so far.
But such comments might be brought back to light during the short, but arduous election battle soon.

However, we see little reason for anyone among the officials to expand this issue further into the public arena, though Najib’s ministers have surprised the country on countless occasions.

In the case of Yeoh, an attempt to tarnish her image failed lamentably last year when a lecturer from a public University dug up her autobiography published in 2014 to claim she was publicly promoting Christianity.
