The lady, only named as Ann, bought the cake on May 22, and said that she cut it to consume with her family that very day. She wrote, “the cake was meant for our kids at home. Ann also added that she reached out to both TasteSingapore, and to the National Environment Agency (NEA) but did not receive a reply.

In her post, Ann also said, “We contacted Taste but were not able to get through their line. We then sent them email with no reply at all. We also wrote to NEA and same thing no reply. We want to warn others of this shop and not to buy their cakes. As you can see from the pictures, it’s completely disgusting and imagine consuming this unknowingly”.

She also added that only after waiting for two weeks for a response did she take to social media to warn others.

TISG has reached out to both TasteSingapore, and to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for comment on the matter./TISG
