NOC saga: Samantha resigns from NOC, files workplace harassment care to TAFEP

Singapore — Speaking on the workplace harassment allegations against Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) co-founder Sylvia Chan, a target of such claims, Samantha Tan has shared her last comment on the saga.

It all started earlier this month when a then anonymous, a now-defunct Instagram page named @sgcickenrice began sharing allegations against Ms Chan through screenshots and audio clips.

Celebs show support to Lawrence Ng as he gets on Douyin

Hong Kong — Ever since Hong Kong actor Lawrence Ng joined Douyin, numerous Hong Kong celebrities showed support to him.

The actor has been focusing his career in China recently, and he announced on his Weibo account last Saturday (Oct 23) that he had set up an account on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Maggots at Marsiling flat corridor lead to man’s decomposing body

Singapore — After spotting dozens of maggots from a next-door unit, a concerned neighbour informed authorities, who later discovered the decomposing body of a man.

Block 18 Marsiling Lane residents noticed a stench a week before the corpse discovery on Friday (Oct 29).

VIDEO: Cyclist hurled vulgarities at driver for informing road rules at Sentosa roundabout

Singapore — A video showing a cyclist failing to indicate his intentions while on a roundabout has sparked public criticisms, noting his entitlement when on the road.

A video shared by Facebook page ROADS.sg on Saturday (Oct 30) highlighted an altercation between a vehicle driver and a cyclist passing the Sentosa roundabout on Oct 28.

Raeesah Khan apologises for lying in Parliament about rape victim’s story, is referred to parliament privileges committee

Singapore — In Parliament on Monday (Nov 1), Workers Party Member of Parliament Raeesah Khan (Sengkang GRC) admitted that she lied in an Aug 3 speech about a rape victim to whom the police allegedly made inappropriate remarks about her clothing and the fact that she had been drinking.

Ms Khan apologised to the Police, the survivor, Members of Parliament, the Workers’ Party, her constituents and her family.
