Bangkok – A Shanghai-bound flight from Bangkok was delayed half an hour due to a mum who was waiting for her daughter to finish shopping at the duty-free zone.

On May 15 (Wednesday), China’s Spring Airlines flight 9C8892 from Suvarnabhumi to Shanghai was delayed 30 minutes because of a mother who took to lying down on the aerobridge that connects the plane to the airport terminal, preventing the plane from taking off.

According to a report by Bangkok Post, the mother was allegedly trying to buy time for her daughter, who was still shopping inside the airport.

A video clip showing the ordeal was distributed across China’s social media.

In the video, passengers are seen demanding a resolution from flight attendants and airport personnel who were trying to fix the situation.

The flight eventually departed after the mother and daughter eventually agreed to take another flight.

Other reports noted that many locals havd condemned the inconsiderate behavior of the two women and urged aviation organisations to blacklist them.
