Five teenagers brutally murder beloved father-of-two after cruel joke

1
five-teenagers-found-guilty-for-the-brutal-murder-of-a-beloved-dad

It was a brutal murder that arose from nothing more than a joke made by one of the murderers. And five teenagers have been found guilty of murdering the man. What was supposed to be a memorable day, became a nightmare for the couple, and his partner will have to live with such horrible memories.

The crime is even more heinous because they battered the father to death in a senseless and savage attack sparked by banter about his resemblance to the U.K.s I’m A Celebrity co-host Ant McPartlin, reported Metro UK.

Jurors in the trial were shown a videotaped interview in which Mr Humble’s partner Adele Stubbs described the two going on a “date night,” visiting a restaurant and several pubs.

Danny Humble, 35, shared a joke with the brothers

He was returning home with a companion from a meal and drinks in Cramlington, Northumberland, after lockdown rules were relaxed in May of last year.

But, according to Newcastle Crown Court, the mood abruptly changed when the teens, aged 16 to 18, surrounded him near an underpass and repeatedly punched and kicked him to the ground.

Alistair Dickson, 18, of Blyth, Northumberland, was convicted of murder after jurors heard him stamp on Mr Humble’s head during the assault.

Danny Humble died as a result of a sustained attack.

While Alistair Dickson was found guilty of murder, his co-defendants were found guilty of manslaughter.

They are Ethan Scott of Blyth (18), Kyros Robinson of Seaton Delaval (18), Bailey Wilson of Blyth (17), and a 17-year-old who cannot be identified by the media due to his age.

A lovely, cheerful individual, ‘He was a beautiful, happy, and contented person who was loved and respected by all,’ Mr Humble’s mother says.

She told the court that her son had dropped off his children, who were seven and five years old at the time, for a sleepover.

He and his partner were going on their first date since the lockdown had been lifted.

‘Danny and the children were laughing, singing and joking together. They were talking about the plans for the next week – half-term.

‘He kissed and hugged us all and gave a wave and left, then jokingly came back for another wave and smile.

‘Hours later, police were at the door and my memory just turns to black after that,’ she told the court.

Woman drugged & abused 15-year-old as “sexual plaything” — accused of 9 charges of sexual behaviour with a child

using-a-15-year-old-as-a-“sexual-plaything”-got-a-woman-arrested

Sex abuse is ‘as harmful to young boys as it is to young girls’, prosecutors warned after the case was heard in Court in the U.K.

A woman was imprisoned after using a young kid as her “sexual plaything” and drugging him between January 2016 and January 2017.

The authorities say the 40-year-old Sarah Campbell had sex with her 15-year-old victim, disregarding the teen’s age and feelings.

She is accused of nine charges of sexual behaviour with a child and was taken into custody on February 15, 2019.

However, she managed to disappear during the middle of her trial, which took place in May 2021.

She first denied the abuse and even claimed that her victim had raped her; but, when she was later re-arrested and brought back before Liverpool Crown Court on May 12, this year, she pleaded guilty to all nine counts on the indictment, reported the Independent UK.

Her story is somehow reminiscent of Sophie Elms, who, however, was 17 when she sexually abused children as young as two years old.

Elms is now known as one of the UK’s youngest-ever female paedophiles and has since been jailed.

Besides the sexual assault of a child, she is also accused of distributing indecent images of children and possessing extreme pornographic images of an animal.

Elms was doing a placement at a neighbourhood nursery as part of a child care course at the time, but according to the authorities, neither the nursery nor the college was the scene of the crimes.

At Swindon Crown Court on Monday, she was sentenced to seven years and ten months in prison after entering a plea of guilty to physically abusing two victims who were two and three years old.

Elms also posted pornographic pictures of two more kids and another two-year-old girl.

Miriam Margolyes says Leonardo DiCaprio is ‘smelly’ and ‘boys don’t wash’

Eighty-one-year-old actress Miriam Margolyes has labelled Leonardo DiCaprio “smelly” saying that boys don’t wash. Margolyes starred in Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo.

The actress who was last seen in the Harry Potter series as Professor Sprout reminisced about the time she worked with the actor many years ago in the 90s film Romeo and Juliet. In an interview on This Morning, Margolyes had the audience in gales of laughter with her witty comments.

“He was a bit smelly because it was very hot in Mexico and young boys don’t make themselves fragrant, they don’t wash all the bits,” she revealed.

The hosts of the show Holly and Phil started laughing even more when she revealed that she even reminded the This Morning’s show production team about personal hygiene.

She also apologized for being offensive in the past.

This Morning’s show host, however, encouraged her, saying “It’s such a shame because we love it when you just let rip,” but Miriam added: “I know but it upsets some people.”

“And I don’t want to upset people because the whole thing is, life is s**t at the moment, it really is. It’s terrible,” she continued – forcing the presenting duo to apologise on her behalf.

She tried to apologise for offending viewers but ended up swearing. Realising her language, she added: “I’ve let myself down, sorry.”

“I just want to make people happy! I apologise to everybody for that word!”

Fans were over the moon about Miriam’s frank demeanour and took to Twitter to comment.

“We should have three doses a day of Miriam. She’s a tonic, much, much better than medication. God I love that woman’s honesty that somehow gets you in fits of laughter. Long may she rein (sic)”

“Ohhhh I adore @MMargolyes sooo much! There’s no one else quite like her – she’s hilarious #ThisMorning’; ‘Miriam Margolyes is a legend and such a national treasure #thismorning,” chimed a third.

She has even farted in her last appearance on the morning show, with Philip bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

A giggling Phillip announced: “I can’t. I can’t. I’m professional, I should pull myself together. Miriam’s just done the most enormous fart.”

As the hosts burst out laughing, Miriam exclaimed: “You outed me!”

In her previous interview, she also spoke about Philip’s bravery in speaking about his sexuality.

She said: “You’re very brave too because you came out. I sort of thought you might be gay when I met you because you’re a bit camp. And I’m a bit camp too.”

28-year-old asks if he can take total break from working world for few years to recover from job stress, brutal work hours & demands

A young man who wants to take a step back from his career for a while asked for advice on the anonymous NUS Whispers Facebook page.

The poster, who is 28 years old, said, “I want to take a total break from the working world for a few years.” He added that he has been in the banking industry for the past four years, but “the hours are brutal and the work is demanding.”

The man is now considering resigning from work in order to take a break for a few years, in part to recover from the stresses of his job, which perhaps many of the commenters on his post are able to identify with.

“I feel that in my years working, my physical and mental health have suffered and I have lost myself and don’t know who or what am I working for.”

He also outlined what he plans on doing while on his break. This includes travelling to different countries, pursuing his hobbies, exercising and gaming—“basically enjoy myself and leading a retiree lifestyle,” he added.

The young man is in a good financial position to do so, as he has around $600,000 in savings and investments, which gives him $2000 in passive income monthly.

“I have no commitments other than giving my parents allowances, buying necessities and the occasional eating out with friends. I have not thought of what to do after a few years.

Perhaps I’ll start anew in another industry and won’t go back to banking anymore,” he added, before asking, “Can anyone advise if I should do this, especially from a career point of view?”

Given that he is more than comfortable, financially speaking, many netizens echoed the famous Nike saying, telling him, “Just do it.”

“Just do it! I think at this young age without much heavy family emotional commitments you should go and see the world and do what you want,” advised one commenter, adding that her husband had gone through a similar experience.

Another wrote, “You can think about the future while traveling, since your perspective will change for the better.”

One commenter said the man’s savings will last for a whole, but added, “in any case dont tell anyone abt ur stash or people will start trying to convince u to part with it, or worse, marry them!”

“It’s your life,” another one added.

“Prioritise your health first,” another wrote.

Someone who had actually taken a similar break, however, underlined that setting an end date is important.

MOH confirms first local case of monkeypox infection in Singapore

The Ministry of Health has confirmed the first local case of monkeypox.

A Malaysian man, 45, living in Singapore, tested positive for the infection on Wednesday (July 6). He is in stable condition and is presently confined at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

According to the World Health Organization, over 6,000 cases of monkeypox have been reported in 58 countries around the world.

However, MOH assured the public that the transmission risk of the infection remains low, but reminded everyone to monitor their personal health and to practice good hygiene, particularly when travelling.

The ministry added that the man’s infection is not linked to the imported case of monkeypox reported last month.

The patient’s symptoms include skin lesions, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, fever, and a sore throat.

His first symptoms, skin lesions on his lower abdomen, appeared on June 30, and he experienced fatigue and swollen lymph nodes two days later.

By Monday (July 4) he had a sore throat and fever and was tested for infection. He was warded at NCID on July 6.

MOH said in a statement that it has identified three close contacts of the man. Two of them are his housemates and one is social contact. They have been placed under quarantine for 21 days.

What is monkeypox?

Monkeypox, a viral disease that is caused by infection with the monkeypox virus, is usually a self-limiting disease. Most patients recover from the infection within two to three weeks.

Some symptoms of monkeypox typically include fever, headache, muscle ache, backache, swollen lymph nodes, chills, lethargy and skin rashes.

“In some cases, however, the virus can cause serious complications. Individuals who are at higher risk of severe illness include young children, pregnant women, or immunocompromised individuals,” MOH warned.

Should I be worried?

MOH said in its statement that the risk of transmission of the infection to the general public remains low because transmission needs close physical or prolonged contact.

The ministry added that it will keep closely monitoring monkeypox and adjust necessary preparedness and response measures.

“Members of the public are encouraged to exercise personal responsibility by monitoring their personal health and maintaining good hygiene, especially during travel.

They should also avoid close contact with other individuals known or suspected to be ill with monkeypox infection,” MOH added. /TISG

Tell-tale signs your man is ready for sex

0
here-are-some-tell-tale-signs-that-your-man-is-ready-for-love

You’d be surprised to learn that humans, too, have ‘signs’ that will betray them or reveal their secrets when they want to have sex.

These are the revelations of a British sex expert who detailed her practical guide to a portal designed to help women meet men without the use of dating apps.

She even suggests that such women attend live music events, the gym, or the pub in order to meet one horny male.

The sex expert, Tracey Cox says it’s not quite as simple and as easy for a single woman to pick up a man. This is easier if women are in a group, they get drunk and the men would fall for them.

Her tips are for single ladies who are having difficulties getting a man and some of the ‘secret signs’ that your man is ready for sex:

  • He’s touching his face more than usual.
  • His eyes appear shiny and moist and his pupils are large and dilated (when totally aroused, pupils can double in size).
  • He’s breathing quickly.
  • His sentences are short and half-finished.
  • His hand, thigh, or knee ‘accidentally’ touches yours.
  • His thighs tense.
  • His lips are red and swollen.
  • His nostrils flare.

Next time you go out with your guy, milady, make sure you watch all his moves and remember the tips given by the lady expert.

This will definitely help you to know whether you are doing the right thing and whether your male partner is the right person for the night.

While the guide is for ladies who want to get plenty of sex, it can also be applied to the singletons who are looking forward to nailing the right bride.

The expert also gave three golden strategies that will help any single lady win the heart and soul of some men.

They are as follows and apply wherever you are:

Don’t bury your head in the phone. You should stop this (bloody) attitude when you’re hunting for the guy. Instead, you should start smiling at people whose looks you like.

Don’t leave in a rush because the male might need some time to gather enough courage to engage in some chit-chat.

Lastly, accept all invitations, which means you will be meeting more people and that will enlarge the field. That goes for your grandmother’s care home or the theatre or a queue when you are buying your next mobile phone, for example.

But don’t forget to engage in conversations with guys. Good luck!

‘My boyfriend is clearly not over his ex – what should I do?’ — Girlfriend seeks advice

0

Nobody wants to be anyone else’s sloppy seconds, right? And when a woman who claimed that her boyfriend is still hung up on his ex-girlfriend sought advice online, many commenters told her it was time to say goodbye, while others said she needs to trust her partner.

“I have been together with my bf for almost 2 years now and I don’t know if he truly loves me or just being together with me because I’m submissive and always puts him first,” a woman wrote in an NUS Whispers post that was published on Thursday (July 7).

She said that when they were just beginning to date, she saw a “family photo with his first love in it on his computer table,” but said nothing about it at first.

But one day, when her boyfriend “suddenly compared me to his first ex infront his friends when we were drinking,” she mentioned that the photo of his ex made her uncomfortable, and he took it away.

However, he still keeps tabs on his ex via social media and the two exchange greetings on holidays.

“He follows her and her sis on Instagram and likes almost every photo of hers. I told him I was uncomfortable with it but he carried on with it.

Fast forward to last year, I realized that the both of them still wish each other happy new year and birthday.”

When she confronted him, they nearly broke up “because I asked him to unfollow and not reply (to) his ex.”

She said that her boyfriend told her, “I cannot don’t reply someone when I’m in good terms with them but I can don’t text her happy birthday”.

They then reached a compromise: he would not unfollow her but would no longer like her pictures, and if she texted him, he would let his girlfriend know.

However, the boyfriend appeared to have found a workaround, as the woman wrote that she “still found him liking her sister’s photos with his ex in it.”

“What should I do?” she asked.

Many netizens told her to end the relationship, with one commenter calling it “toxic.”

“How can you expect a man to value you when you do not even value yourself?” asked another.

A number of netizens encouraged her to love herself.

“It seems like he chose himself over you,” one netizen observed.

“Why would you need a man if this man makes you feel insecure and unloved, as opposed to being secure and loved while not in a relationship?” asked another.

Others said, however, that they think the woman is being unnecessarily paranoid over the ex-girlfriend.

“Learn to trust your partner, a little at a time and then see where it goes. It is not easy, I know, but then again nothing is ever really easy,” one wrote.

An accident at the Causeway Checkpoint on Thursday morning (July 7) saw a 12-vehicle pile-up.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said the accident occurred beyond the international boundary leading to Woodlands Checkpoint, which means it happened on Malaysia’s side.

Videos taken at the scene show a large truck slowly ramming into several cars before stopping.

The accident had blocked two of the three lanes on the highway, and travellers had been told in an earlier advisory to expect delays.

ICA said by noon, however, that all lanes had been cleared, although it advised travellers to check the LTA’s One Motoring website for updates before going in that direction.

The side of one vehicle was completely crushed.

Clips show at least eight affected vehicles in the pile-up, including a sports utility vehicle, a multipurpose vehicle, a van, a public bus, and four cars.

Some videos show a white van being towed away from the scene, while others show debris on the highway in the aftermath of the mishap. The damaged vehicles can also be seen being moved to the side of the road.
