A man caught on camera swiping some fruit off an altar but offering a prayer before leaving the scene has gone viral.

“At least he asked the God for permission, lol,” wrote TikTok user Melvin Chew who shared the video of the incident which happened on Sept 11.

More Singaporean workers report low job satisfaction, poor mental health and quality of life compared to Filipino & Indonesian employees — Survey

A new survey of workers in Singapore has shown that in comparison with their counterparts from Indonesia and the Philippines, they rated themselves the lowest when it comes to mental health, job satisfaction and quality of life.

The “Hustle Culture” survey conducted by Milieu Insight, a consumer research and analytics firm, and Intellect, a mental health company, showed that in spite of fewer or equal number of hours spent at work, employees in Singapore are the least satisfied with aspects of their work and life among respondents from the three countries.

In an adjournment motion on “Ensuring Housing Needs of Singles and Singaporeans are Met” in Parliament, Workers’ Party Member of Parliament Louis Chua (Sengkang GRC) proposed lowering the eligibility age for applying for a new Housing Board (HDB) flat, which is currently 35, to 28.

He said that by 28, most people in Singapore would have had opportunities to “lead independent lives and steady their financial footing”.

The saga of Mandy getting stuck in a bathroom in the middle of the night was documented on TikTok by singer-songwriter and mental health advocate Yanni Ruth Chin, who goes by @pootpootyan on the platform.

Her video starts at 2:30 am when she is found sitting on the floor outside the bathroom, where Mandy has been trapped for “about one and a half hours, close to two hours.”
