Foreigner rudely argues with Singaporean man over traffic laws, man’s daughter says ‘Such behavior should not be tolerated’

A woman took to Facebook on Saturday (Apr 9) and uploaded a video of a Caucasian man who had behaved rudely toward her father. 

She told TISG that she has no desire to add fuel to any type of anti-foreigner sentiments, and has turned off commenting on her post.

The man’s rudeness is in full display on the video. As she wrote in the caption of her post, “Such behavior should not be tolerated.”

Letter to the Editor: Inequitable COE system

Dear Editor,

There have been many calls to revamp the current COE bidding system. In the past, while Ex-PM Goh Chok Tong denied that the COE system is intended to raise the Government tax coffers, there is little incentive to make the system fairer, more transparent and equitable as the current COE system is undoubtedly a golden monetary tax goose.

Kiasu much? Netizen urges public to let others go out of train first and stand on one side

A concerned member of the public posted on social media, encouraging commuters to practice patience and wait for passengers to exit the train before boarding.

“Please let others go out of the train first, stand on one side,” wrote Complaint Singapore Facebook page member Akydd Rahim on Thursday (April 7).

He attached a video of an MRT station where an approaching train was coming to a halt.

As soon as the gates opened, waiting passengers began boarding, thus limiting the space for those alighting the train.

He wrote that the woman wants to get married after she finishes school, since there is a significant age gap between them and she wants to be a young mother.

“She has a minor disability so she cannot do any work that requires her to stress out her body,” he added.

Also, the woman, unfortunately, has not made a good impression with his family. “My gf is not a very knowledgeable person and can be quite tactless. She has little friends and little knowledge on social skills so she often offended my parents with words.”
