A woman who goes by “Betty Ganda” on Facebook wrote in a public group that her female employer has been hacking her Facebook account since 2020.

They “just keep checking my fb wall and messenger every day. Everytime they want,” she claimed in a Friday morning (Sept 23) post on the Singapore Incidents public group page.

And even when she changes her password, she wondered why they seem to be able to retrieve it.

“If I do crime they can call police, if I did wrong they can talk to me and clear the problem. But not do,” the obviously worried helper wrote, adding that she found that her devices are “vibrating their laptop and very fast closed it!”.

“It’s makes me sick and tormented.”

She also claimed to have talked to her employer along with the employer’s husband, both of whom denied they had accessed her account.

“But why they know all what is in my messenger? If I complain to my family and friends, cos I need to release my stress .they angry.they call me tapien, rubbish. I’d*0t or virus..s2pid head. etc. Etc.,” she added.

The helper also said that her employers tell her they’ll send her home or “blocklist” (sic) or ban her.

“But not happen?! I know they knows themselves what they doing!”

Despite everything, she says she forgives them for how they treat her.

Betty Ganda ended her post by writing that she keeps “praying God give me more endurance and patient! Cos I need to work. I need job..”

Many netizens gave her tips as to how to strengthen her security so that her accounts will not get hacked.

One commenter even said a similar occurrence had happened to her.

Others gave a different kind of advice.

One asked the helper why she is still with her employers despite their alleged treatment of her.

Other commenters, however, were skeptical of the woman’s story.

One said she should simply block her employers and use Whatsapp to communicate with friends and family.

The helper even claimed that she had actually created a new account, which was also hacked.

One urged her to file a report with the police or the Ministry of Manpower.

When one commenter pointed out that her employers could read the post she seemed to be beyond caring, and wrote, “Let them.”
